Greg is a talented, well-rounded musician excelling in an array of musical styles. Earning his first guitar at the age of 12, he was soon performing for audiences by his teens. He later earned an associates degree in music theory and attended the Southwest Guitar Conservatory with curriculum created by jazz legends Herb Ellis and Jackie King. OUT OF THE BLUE is a class act that originated in the Monterey Peninsula and is now residing in SLO County. Comprised of guitarist “Greg Robbins” and vocalist “Maria Borrelli”, their style is an eclectic mix bringing a fresh sound to covers by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Santana and the Beatles to name a few. Playing over backing tracks featuring Greg on all instruments, they recreate a full band sound at any volume appropriate for any room size or outdoor venue.

After spending years on the road and living in San Antonio, Greg found himself longing for his native California coast. In 2015, he moved to Pacific Grove where he soon met Maria while working with other local talent. Realizing they had much musical taste in common, they were inspired to form a duo. “OUT OF THE BLUE” they came together in 2016 for a live performance on KPIG radio’s, “Please Stand By Show”. …..and the rest was history. Since then, they have performed hundreds of gigs together at venues such as wineries, clubs, resorts, festivals, tasting rooms, private parties and restaurants. Maria began singing and performing with her family’s ministry at a very young age. Once she turned 18, she ventured out on her own. Steeped in soul and rock, she paid her musical dues during the 1980s Bay Area Blues renaissance sharing the stage at times with renowned blues artists such as Andy Mazzilli, Deacon Jones, Tommy Castro and John Wedemeyer to name a few. Later going on to front several Bay Area blues and rock bands, she found herself playing gigs everywhere from bars, nightclubs to large festivals and venues such as the Cow Palace and Calaveras County Fairgrounds. She’s opened for Mark Lindsay (Paul Revere and the Raiders) as well as Big Brother and the Holding Company and has done TV and radio performances. Spending time writing and collaborating with artists in Oakland California, she was the vocalist for Deep Orchid which released an all original album in 2015 titled, “As Long as You're Around”.
